Thai League 2021-22: Matchday 7 Best XI

Goalkeeper – Kwanchai Suklom (Prachuap FC): The Killer Wasps faced a tough task holding off Samut Prakan City with 10 men, but the side managed to emerge with a point thanks to the efforts of their goalkeeper. Kwanchai faced eight shots on goal, but managed to deny the Sea Fang a winner.

Right-back – Boontawee Thepwong (Muangthong United): Deputising for captain Suporn, Boontawee made countless forward runs and consistently found dangerous attacking positions. His efforts were rewarded with two assists as the Kirin ran out 3-1 winners over Khon Kaen United.

Center-back – Rebin Sulaka (Buriram United): The Iraqi international returned to fitness just in time for Buriram’s trip to the PAT Stadium, and confidently marshalled the back-line to keep a clean sheet and help his side emerge 2-0 winners.

Center-back – Renato Kelic (Chonburi FC): On a day when Chonburi’s forwards were misfiring, the towering central defender popped up with the all-important goal. Kelic headed in from a corner in the 82nd minute to give his side a 1-0 victory over Suphanburi.

Left-back – Wanchai Jarungnongkran (Police Tero FC): Wanchai netted the opener in Tero’s stunning 3-0 victory over BG Pathum. The wing-back’s pace and timing allowed him to get beyond the Rabbits back-line on a number of occasions.

Midfielder – Sanrawat Dechmitr (Ratchaburi FC): The stylish playmaker dominated the midfield for Ratchaburi, creating six chances for his teammates and ending the match with a goal and assist to his name.

Midfielder – Chanukan Karin (Police Tero FC): The diminutive midfielder put in an outstanding performance in Tero’s big win over the reigning champions. His relentless defensive contribution and courage to sprint forward in counter-attacking situations was key to the the Fire Dragons’ success.

Midfielder – Sardor Mirzaev (Muangthong United): Muangthong’s #10 came off the bench with the side a goal down against Khon Kaen United, and proceeded to turn the game on its head by scoring a brace. He levelled the scoring with a well-timed finish at the back post, before getting his second with a composed finish after capitalising on a loose ball in the area.

Forward – Supachok Sarachart (Buriram United): Supachok was a dangerous presence between the lines against Port and hit the all-important knockout blow, slaloming past the defence and scoring an excellent solo goal.

Forward – Vander Luiz (Bangkok United): Vander scored the first and teed up compatriot Heberty for the second, showing excellent skill composure. His contribution was crucial as Bangkok United ran out 2-0 winners from their trip to Nakhon Ratchasima.

Forward – Felipe Amorim (Chiangrai United): The Brazilian winger scored a potential contender for goal of the season just seconds into Chiangrai’s game against Nongbua, as he flicked the ball over an oncoming defender and struck a stunning volley into the top corner.
